Six Easy Ways to Rejuvenate Vigour & Combat Ageing We all want to feel youthful and, hopefully, look the best we can. Here are six easy ways to rejuvenate vigour and combat ageing.

Many of us reading this know that it seems like that you wake up one day and you find yourself older than you ever imagined yourself to be. Studies have indicated that most of us, whatever actual age we may be, have a mental sense of ourselves at around the 25 YO mark. Perhaps, this was the time when we were most full of hope and potential. So, we may be walking around inside these old bodies, but, upstairs (where the important issues are considered) we think of ourselves in terms of when we were at our optimal physical state. Ageing is a tricky thing, as the mirror may not lie, but the eyes perceiving the reflection may focus on who knows what. We all want to feel youthful and, hopefully, look the best we can. Here are six easy ways to rejuvenate vigour and combat ageing.

Number One: Drink Plenty of Water

Number one and, probably, the simplest single thing that we all can do is to drink plenty of H2O. Staying hydrated has so many positive benefits for your health that it stands out as a universal method to combat the negative effects of ageing. Drinking fresh water boosts our metabolism by carrying nutrients, hormones and oxygen to our body’s organs. The regular consumption of around 2 litres of water per day will help flush out toxins, dead cells and waste material. Health benefits are: better looking and functioning skin and hair; regularity; reduces the occurrence of headaches; promotes effective weight management; increases general feelings of wellbeing. Drink pure water whenever you can, but do not overdo it because too much of this good thing can kill you. Cut out excessive coffee, alcohol, soft drinks and such, as these can dehydrate the body.

We Are Biologically Designed to Walk

Exercise is for some a dirty word, but we are biologically designed to walk, stretch and run. A healthy circulation will keep you feeling and looking younger than if you drive everywhere and never use the legs and feet that existence endowered you with. Getting your heart pumping blood around your body is one of the six easy ways to rejuvenate vigour and combat ageing. The human predilection for creating labour saving devices is killing us. Sedentary lifestyles, at home and at work, are responsible for the endemic surges in the rates of obesity, heart disease, cancers and diabetes, around the globe. If you keep it simple and drink more water and exercise every day, you will immediately improve your health and appearance.

Maintain an Agile & Active Mind

An agile and active mind is the next easy way to combat the negative effects of ageing. Think in a youthful manner and you will feel younger inside yourself. Don’t fixate on things. Remember that we are all constantly learning new things. We are never too old to discover a new approach to living. This idea that education is only applicable for young people going to school is ridiculous, we are always learning. The mind may have greater plasticity in the first couple of decades of our lives, but we can still improve our understanding of things if we remain open. Shut down people are like those zombies you see at the movies, shuffling toward oblivion and off this mortal coil.

Ginseng for Better Memory Functioning

Ginseng is another example of the keen understanding of human health held by the ancient Chinese healers and sages. Traditional Chinese Medicine has brought us a vast number of natural substances and techniques, which remain effective to this day. Herbal medicine offers us all the health benefits of antioxidants like ginseng to reduce inflammation, stimulate brain function, and boost our immune systems. A ginseng supplement can aid with memory function and help with our cellular health across the board.

A Good Diet

A good diet is another easy way to rejuvenate vigour and combat ageing. Our diets are affected by a number of psychological considerations. What we eat is influenced by personal, familial and cultural factors. Many of us have heard the expression ‘comfort food’, these foods can, often, be unhealthy foods which bear associations with how we may have covered up feelings of vulnerability or other negative emotional states of some description. Pushing down feelings by stuffing ourselves with comfort foods. Breaking the psychological link and these cycles through self-awareness can free us from the damaging effects of a poor diet. Eating moderate amounts of healthy food can facilitate feelings of wellbeing and vigour.

Calcium

Calcium rich foods and a calcium supplement can be beneficial to many in finding an easy way to look and feel younger. Plant based calcium supplements are ideal for those wishing to increase their calcium intake without overdoing the dairy products. Healthy bones and teeth make you feel more youthful for longer.
